Once you get over her terrible accent and diction, you realize her content is actually worse! Not only is it weak writing and bad execution, but it is also unoriginality at its peak. Have you noticed how she brings out her ‘boys and their red flags’ essay every time she has to market a product. You’ve had bad experiences with men Sakshi, we get it! Do we really have to hear about it every time you put on sunscreen?

Her recent collaboration reel for Canesten India is the epitome of cringe. I had to watch the reel 5 times, just to understand what she was trying to get at. A worse placement of brand in an Instagram reels video has never been done before. Talking of Canesten spray, if we had a spray to get rid of things that bother us, your reels would be the first thing to go! In her Instagram reel, Sakshi compares men from dating apps to rashes you can’t get rid of, she also talks about being stuck in the talking phase forever and other red flags. Well, the biggest red flag I can see in all this is your content. And considering you are a content creator; I wouldn’t take this lightly.

If you are out of ideas, or don’t feel you’ll be able to deliver satisfactory work to a brand that’ll pay you a hefty fee for it, the ideal thing to do is refuse such work. But, if you do not wish to refuse well-paying work, at least spend more time and effort to come up with something creative and engaging. You take lakhs from these brands, and in turn when you make a reel for them you don’t spend anything on location, equipment, or professionals, the least you can do is spend some of your creativity and deliver value. Have we set the bar a little too low for these influencers, why are there no standards, no values, and no terms that they must adhere to? Why are they getting away with making such shit content. Brands, why are you so powerless in these ‘paid’ partnerships?
